Revel in the allure of Stellenbosch and Devon Valley

Stellenbosch and the surrounding Cape Winelands region is no stranger to its visitors being seduced by the scenery and activities on offer. The Salene, nestled as it is in the heart of the Devon Valley and only 10 minutes from Stellenbosch, is perfectly poised as a portal into all that this area has to offer.

DIVE INTO THE SALENE’S VIEWING AND POOL DECK

Immerse yourself in the beauty of the winelands from our sun-soaked pool deck, fully equipped with loungers and poolside bar. Shade spilled by the surrounding trees provide reprieve from the rays, allowing for long, languid days spent on the deck.

Take in the pristine waters below and the blue skies above while you unwind with a spot of reading, sun-bathing, and snacks from The Salene eatery. Let the mountain views wash over you from dawn to dusk. We highly recommend sipping on a sundowner while taking in a panoramic view of the wine region’s sunsets.

PACK A PICNIC AND WILE THE DAY AWAY WITH A LOVED ONE

Nothing is quite as wholesomely decadent than an outdoor picnic within The Salene grounds. Long, lazy days in the Cape Winelands are best spent with an outdoor picnic basket in hand, and we take the utmost care to select only the freshest local produce and delicious snacks for your day out.

Set beside our dam under the dappled sunlight filtered through the trees, you and your loved ones can enjoy long hours of snacks, wine and good conversation whilst soaking in the breathtaking views. Our picnic baskets serve two people and include a bottle of wine for R550 per basket.
